Your Story Matters

  • Course
  • 9 Lessons

We all have a story that we carry from childhood into adulthood. These stories impact how we feel about ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world. The less we know about our stories, the more influence they hold over us subconsciously. This workshop offers a starting point for discovering how your story, particularly in the case of trauma, influences you today and how you can change that.

What to Expect

We all have a story. Our story may be the single greatest influence in our lives. Our stories influence or choose our careers, partners, theology, values, ways of relating, and lifestyles. We carry our stories with us from childhood into adulthood, influencing each new situation and shaping our thinking, behaviors, and choices. The less we know about our stories, the more influence they hold over us subconsciously. We either live our stories, or our stories live us.

Our unresolved childhood stories follow us, often making it difficult or impossible to truly thrive as adults. This workshop is designed to help you better understand the nature of childhood trauma, how we respond to these types of hurts as children, the lasting impact of abuse, and finally, the road to recovery. You’ll find understanding, direction, and hope for survivors, for partners and those who support them.

We are all just trying to build a life we want to live in. This 5-hour workshop offers a starting point for discovering how your story continues to influence you today and how you can change how the story ends.

In this workshop, you will learn:
